SPENCER SAVINGS BANK RAISES $7,800 FOR RELAY FOR LIFE, THE AMERICAN CANCER SOCIETY’S LARGEST FUNDRAISER

ELMWOOD PARK, NJ (June 16, 2010) – Relay for Life is the signature activity of the American Cancer Society, and has raised millions of dollars since the first relay took place back in 1985. Through Relay for Life, events are conducted in more than 4,800 communities nationwide. Teams come together to raise money, showing their commitment to finding a cure while celebrating survivorship.

Spencer Savings Bank was the main event sponsor of the 2010 Relay for Life of Clifton. The event took place on June 12th at the Clifton Stadium. This year’s theme was "Superheroes" and more than forty different teams were in attendance. Team Super-Spencer, consisting of 65 employees, family members and friends, raised a grand total of $7,800 for the American Cancer Society.
