SPENCER SAVINGS BANK PARTNERS WITH THE WALLINGTON LITTLE LEAGUE AND THE WALLINGTON LIONS CLUB TO HOST "MOVIES UNDER THE STARS"
ELMWOOD PARK, NJ (July 20, 2010) –Movies Under The Stars made its debut in Wallington on Saturday, July 17th. Spencer Savings Bank teamed up with the Wallington Little League and the Wallington Lions Club to bring this fabulous night of family fun to local families in the community. The event took place at the Little League Field, located on Mount Pleasant Avenue. Almost 600 people were in attendance for the feature film, which was Avatar. Volunteers from all three organizations were on hand making freshly popped popcorn, serving refreshments, cooking burgers and hot dogs at the grill, doing face-painting and distributing raffle tickets to the crowd.
"We were so excited to host 'Movies Under The Stars' for the first time ever in Wallington. We had such a huge turnout and everybody had a fantastic time," stated Eileen Duess, Wallington Branch Manager at Spencer. "We hope to be able to continue this summer tradition in town by making this an annual event!"
