Spencer Savings Bank, one of New Jersey’s leading community banks, is proud to announce the donation of a state-of-the-art, high-definition video scoreboard for the athletic field at Garfield High School.
The Garfield Boilermakers use this athletic facility for a variety of sports, including football, baseball, softball, soccer, and track, throughout the year. Garfield, known as the “City of Champions,” is recognized for its exceptional talent across its athletic teams.
“This generous donation is an incredible addition to the new athletic complex that generations of students and families will enjoy,” stated Garfield Board of Education President, Mr. Jorge Ramos. “Our partnership with Spencer Savings is a reminder to our students of how successful businesses help enhance programs and facilities to enrich the community as a whole.”
The new scoreboard, which will measure approximately 18 feet wide by 10 feet high, will feature an LED video display with instant replay capabilities. It will enhance fan engagement by offering live remote fan shots, hype videos, player profiles, and more interactive video features.
In addition to sporting events, the scoreboard will also serve as a focal point for other important events at the stadium, including the Garfield High School graduation. The installation is expected to be completed in time for the Class of 2025’s graduation, and students are excited about the opportunity to see themselves on the large screen while accepting their diplomas.
