Spencer Savings Bank, one of New Jersey’s leading community banks, is pleased to announce the promotion of Monica Vanegas to Vice President, Market Manager. She will be overseeing the success of some of the bank’s financial centers in the Bergen and Essex County markets (Lodi, Wood-Ridge, Saddle Brook, Nutley and Lyndhurst).
In addition to overseeing the financial centers, Vanegas will be focused on developing new and expanding existing commercial relationships within her markets. She and her team will also be focused on creating strong community partnerships. Vanegas is a seasoned banking professional with over 20 years of industry experience. She joined the bank in 2021 as an Assistant Vice President, Financial Center Manager of the bank’s Garfield financial center. Prior to joining Spencer, she held leadership positions at a variety of regional and community banks.

Vanegas resides in Bergen County, New Jersey with her husband and two children. In her free time, she volunteers at her son’s school on the PTO (Parent Teacher Organization) committee. She is actively involved with the Garfield YMCA, Hispanic Alliance of Garfield and other local nonprofit organizations.
